6. Appointing Clerk – Motion Theresa, Wayne
7. Awards and Public Recognition
Wayne, Recognize crew at Cemetery this summer. Cemetery looks good. Eric recognized Jody for her job well done as Clerk for 14 years. Theresa recognized the public works job at the shooting range. Charles for the successful 24 of July, Beautification staff for the welcome Sign, Paul Etcheverry for the event at the ski lift. Outstanding ski patrol and longest member of the national ski patrol members. Neal recognized the city crew for the cleaning up on Pearl Street.
Dennis Complimented the Beautification committee for the work on the sign.

Mike Kelly – Addressed the council about his two permits for mike Kelly for home addition, storage container and changing the zoning from residential ag. The permits passed the permits motion made by Wayne seconded by Theresa. Motion to approve the ORD 25-07 rezoning on the first reading.

Public comment/communications
Dennis would like a no parking for horse trailers on the East side of the park. Brad commented that there is great amount of manure on the east side. Elbert commented that we are rural and have animals. Excellent job to Larry to help with the manure during the parade.

Council Member Nate – Streets & grounds

Handed out information about the Lodging Tax and what the tax can be spent on.
Council Member Harmon – Water/Sewer, Airport
New Scada should be completed mid-October. Needs to be finish patching before it gets cold.
Council Member Dayton – Planning & Zoning, Business Relations
Mayor read information from Charles since he was absent. Discussion on hiring someone to enforce the nuisance ordinance. Chief Whitehead commented that the police can help enforce the Nuisance ordinance. The nuisance ordinance will be sent in August 2025 water bills.
Mike – requested to have the mayor ask the commissioners to have Wayne help with the road to the rifle range. Colby will meet with Mike on a plane before he asks the commissioners.
Police – Chief picked up the new K-9.
Motion by Theresa Second Broad for a 3-minute break.
Reconvene – Wayne, Brad
Chief demonstrated the new K-9 Harley. Chief explained how to certify the dog.
Mayor Peck – Administration, Police, Public Works
Mayor informed the audience of the planned helium plant in Sublette County. The Town needs to be ready to request impact fees if the town gets included.
Colby talked about the sewer pumpers now having a place for dumping sewers in North Lincoln County. It might be a good revenue source for the Town.
