  1.  Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.

  2.  Pledge led by Demont.  

  3. A motion by Wayne to adopt the Agenda seconded by Cameron. Motion Passed

  4. A motion by Wayne to approve the November 12, 2024 Town Council Meeting minutes seconded by Demont.  Motion Passed

  5. A motion by Demont to approve the Accounts payable and payroll for November 2024 seconded by Theresa. Motion Passed

  1. Recognitions

Mayor read a thank you from Weston Murdoch.Weston worked for the town, for the summer.The Mayor was impressed by Weston’s appreciation for the job and work ethics.

  1. Sam Bennion with The Cokeville Development Company addressed the council. The Company was developed in the 1950’s, they received donations  to build a dam. The dam was never built.  The Company would like to donate $1000 from the donations collected to the Town of Cokeville to be put towards the water well project.  Wayne commented that he appreciated their honesty.  Sam will bring a check to town clerk.  Motion to accept the funds by Wayne seconded by Theresa. Mayor thanked Sam for the funds.

8 Public Comment

Dennis mentioned that the Senior center will sign the lease.  The Senior Center would like to paint the ceiling tiles downstairs.  Mike will pick up the paint and rollers for the Sr. center. The missionaries will paint the tiles for a service project.  Dennis commented that the decorations around the town hall look nice

 

Department Reports

The floor scrubber will be here tomorrow. Mike would like to have combination locks on the door instead of regular door knobs. Colby will pick one door knob up and order the remaining 5 doorknobs. 

Streets look good with the extra sanding on the corners. Thanks for keeping the streets safe.

No planning and Zoning this month

Chief Whitehead addressed the Council regarding offsite backup for the Town computers.  He presented 2 plans with Carbonite for $24 per month, more storage could be added if needed. Council discussed this item. Motion by Wayne to use carbonite seconded by Theresa. Motion passed.

Chief Whitehead has pictures of the items for the auction. 

Demont mentioned that the snowpack is at 60% of normal. 

Demont complimented Ben Jordan for working with the EPA to keep all the certificates valid. Colby will call Ben.

A couple of issues is happening with the contractors for the well.  They can’t get the electrical components; they are waiting on 2 main panels.

Demont stated that he has appreciated working on the council for the last 10 years.  He recommended the council and community work together.  He feels like the Mayor takes a lot of hard hits from the community.   Clerk does a good job.  Police officers are doing very well.  Public works job is a tough job. Thanked all the employees and the members of the council for working with him     

The State Lands and Investment is awarding the Town $4742.00 in ARPA funds to be added to the current Grant LG-1350.  Motion by Theresa to obtain bids for the SCADA system seconded by Cameron. Motion passed.  Mike was asked to get bids. 

          Santa will be here on December 20, 2024 from 8-3.

Last of the soccer equipment will be shipped.  Going forward, the Town will try to spend the Lincoln County Recreation Committee money in Wyoming.

Mayor reported that there are Parties who have been calling and representing themselves as the Town, asking to purchase property. The mayor wants it noted that the Town is not purchasing property at this time, especially without a motion to do so.
